Dorothy Neal New Initiatives Grant

The Dorothy Neal New Initiatives Grant funds are given to new projects supporting CBWOQ target areas. 

  • Used to help a new project get started
  • This project must be less than 2 years since conception
  • The project must meet one of CBWOQ’s targets, focused on Spiritual growth, missions or social justice
  • The project must be geared to women, children or families
  • It cannot have received any previous funding from CBWOQ
  • The project must be endorsed by either a CBOQ church or another group affiliated with CBWOQ
  • Funding can be available up to three years on a decreasing basis
  • Funding can be up to $5,000 for the first year
  • Based on need and budget submitted
  • The project must have additional funding and a plan for sustainability
  • The project must submit both a budget as well as how much they are actually requesting

 

Note: There are two annual reviews for New Initiatives Grants. Applications must be received before February 28 or August 30 each year to be considered.

Leadership Grant

This grant is to provide assistance to women for leadership training opportunities.

  • Each approved request can receive up to $500.
  • The recipient must be a woman connected to either CBWOQ or a CBOQ church
  • The requests range from someone going to a conference, to someone completing lay pastor training to someone completing their PhD in Biblical Studies- basically anything that qualifies as leadership development or enrichment
  • The other type of request is for Networking Opportunities- to help someone attend a national or international event or gathering related to Baptist Life
  • The recipient may only receive a grant once every three years

 

Note: There are two annual reviews for Leadership Grants. Applications must be received before February 28 or August 30 each year to be considered.

Events Bursary

This bursary is to assist women to attend CBWOQ events.
