Christmas Campaign (2)

Refugee Sponsorship

“Imagine being pursued across your country by men who wish to kidnap you and harm you for your faith in Christ. Reflect on the deep fear that would envelop you and the heartache your family would experience in such a situation.”

For over two harrowing years, two teenage sisters lived in fear as they were followed from one community to another in Pakistan. Enduring both physical and psychological threats took a heavy toll on their well-being. In a desperate search for safety, their family turned to a clergyman for guidance. With the support of their relatives, they managed to gather enough funds to send the sisters to Thailand, a chance to escape the dangers they faced and reclaim their lives.

After 11 difficult years of living on the margins in Thailand, without immigration status and confronting growing barriers to employment, this journey has been incredibly challenging.

CBWOQ has begun the process of sponsoring these sisters to come to Canada, where they can live fulfilling lives in peace and security. We understand that starting anew can be challenging, and we need to raise $40,000 over the next two years to bring these women to Canada and support them during their first year here. Like so many newcomers before them, these young women deserve the chance to thrive in a safe environment, where they can worship God freely. Your support can make a meaningful difference in their journey to safety and a brighter future.”
