Dear friends,

Spring is on the way. Can you feel it?

There’s something about the shift in seasons—the thawing ground, the sunlight lingering a little longer each evening—that stirs hope in me. The promise of new life is everywhere, even when the world feels heavy.

And it does feel heavy, doesn’t it? The weather is strange, the news is relentless, and I often find myself asking, What on earth is going on? These aren’t just headlines—they’re our lived realities. AND, in the midst of it all, I’ve found myself reflecting again and again on the ways women are showing up in the world with courage, compassion, and strength.

I see it in mothers and grandmothers.
In healthcare workers and human rights advocates.
In quiet conversations and bold declarations.
In those tending to their families, and those reshaping systems.

The power, beauty, and resilience of women is everywhere. And it reminds me: we need each other.

We need women in the rooms where decisions are being made.
We need deep, heart-filled relationships across generations.
We need spaces where voices are heard, held, and honoured.

And within all of this, you matter.
Not because everything depends on you—but because you are a beloved part of what God is doing in the world.

So we pause and ask:
What might my part be in this season?
Where is God gently leading me—toward healing, toward courage, toward community?
How can I honour my own voice and needs, even as I live and serve with love?

As we approach Easter, we remember the story of resurrection and redemption—a story that reminds us that life and hope can break through even the darkest places. This isn’t just something we celebrate; it’s something we live. God is always calling forth new life—in the world, and within each of us.

So take heart, dear one.
You matter.
Your voice matters.
And we are in this together.

With love,
Abby and the CBWOQ team
