For 150 years, CBWOQ has existed to inspire women to help other women live in the fullness of life in Jesus Christ and in the fullness of their God-ordained calling.
Audrey Morikawa beautifully reflected 24 years ago, “Our heritage is a story of women of faith, women with strong convictions, and women who are determined to make a difference in their world. It is the story of cultured, confident women … and humble, hesitant women … women who, moved by their hearts, used their heads and their hands to serve others.”
Audrey also reminded us that “the desperate plight of women and children in many places of the world,” the very cause that ignited the Baptist women’s movement a century and a half ago, “is still – increasingly – an issue today.”
If you see yourself in this story—if you’ve experienced the power of God’s inspiration, His wisdom, and His provision—you know that while the world has changed, the work is not done. God still calls us to inspire women to help women, to build networks of support, and to embody His love in action.
As CBWOQ stands on the threshold of its next 150 years, we’re inviting you to help shape what comes next. In the weeks ahead, we’ll be gathering your insights through surveys and focus groups to discern together how God is leading us into the future.
Watch for a link to the survey in our November newsletter—your voice matters as we continue to live out the vision of empowering women to transform the world as God’s Beloved.
