Dear Pastors, Church Leaders, and friends of CBWOQ,
In conjunction with International Women’s Day (March 8th), we warmly invite your church to participate in CBWOQ Sunday on March 9th—a special opportunity to honour and celebrate the incredible contributions of women in our communities, both locally and globally.
This year, our theme is Belonging, Becoming, Brought Back – Celebrate the Gift!, inspired by 2 Corinthians 5:17–18a (NLT):
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ.”
CBWOQ Sunday offers a time to rejoice in this truth: in Christ, we belong, we are continually becoming who He created us to be, and we are brought back into God’s grace and purpose. We invite your congregation to celebrate these gifts and honour the incredible ways women reflect God’s love and advance His kingdom.
Supporting Women Locally and Globally
As part of this special Sunday, we encourage your church to take up an offering to support two vital ministries:
- CBWOQ ministries, empowering women through resources and programs that help them deepen their relationship with God and live out His calling.
- The Canadian Baptist Women’s International Scholarship program, investing in the development of female leaders globally to transform their communities with hope and love.
Your participation enables us to inspire and equip women to live into their belonging in Christ, grow in their becoming as disciples, and celebrate being brought back through God’s reconciling work.
We would be delighted to provide resources and support to help you plan your CBWOQ Sunday. You can find several resources here. Together, let’s celebrate the gift of new life in Christ and the powerful impact of women as God’s beloved.
